		<description><![CDATA[No worries, it&#039;s a great post and far better encapsulates both &#039;outsider&#039; attitudes and eloquent responses to them than I ever could.

Atwood: I know! I don&#039;t know what SF she&#039;s been exposed to but she seems to think it&#039;s squids in space and talking cabbages.

And then SF fans get all &quot;well, you&#039;re not good enough to be in our club anyway, so there&quot; (or, maybe, &quot;this is a boy&#039;s club and girls aren&#039;t allowed anyway&quot;, I do get that vibe sometimes...), when she _is_ a good writer who can bring people around to the idea that not all SF is utter crap...if she would just admit she writes the stuff!]]></description>
