Following on from my mention of the Bryon Bay Writers Festival, also coming up soon is the Melbourne Writers Festival and the Aireys Festival of Words, both in August.
Locus Magazine has announced its 2009 award winners. Anathem and the Graveyard Book, both of which I enjoyed reading earlier this year, both won awards, as did Le Guin’s Lavinia, which I am really looking forward to reading (it’s on the list. The very, very, very long list).
