I have reached 100 pages of my second draft, and am aiming for 150 pages by the end of the week. The aim with this second draft is still just to get the story right. This means Simon’s scenes are coming across from the first draft almost intact, except for some cutting and tweaking. My main focus has been on the Lily scenes, and will continue to be so throughout this middle section: these have been tough but are now coming together. The ending section is where the real work of this second draft will begin.
